BSIT Seniors Donate MIS to Two Metro Manila Schools

The IT Department has always been keenest when approving titles for the Systems Analysis and Design Information Systems Project Study.  Advisers and subject teachers have to make these students slash proponents make every consultation period count as they let students go back a number of times only to make sure their additions per chapters in the documentations are well discussed and points are always well taken.  Two noteworthy submissions for school year 2012-2013 define this article. One is on the Management Information Systems proposal on: Enrollment Management System, Grading System, and Library System developed by Kevin Padilla of WAN Development Team and this system is proposed to Pateros Catholic School in Metro Manila. The other is the Management Information System on Online Enrollment Management System, Online Grading Management System, Performance Evaluation Management System developed by Charlie Mae Monzales, Benedict Llarena, Justine Catudio, Carl John Rodolfo, Michael Kevin Villaverde and this is proposed to Our Lady of Guadalupe College in Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City.

We are more than proud to say that after 6 months of careful monitoring in the proposal and 6 months of supervision in the design and development of the two MIS, one has already been turned over to the school for its use and advantage. This is humbly donated to them and obviously at no other cost.

It is the Department’s pride taking part in this momentous event we call, the 1st Turnover Ceremony of the BSIT Students of their Information Systems Project Study. The ceremony took place at the Director's Office of Pateros Catholic School and was held last July 12, 2013. This was attended by the Dean of Computer Studies & Engineering, Dr. Milani M. Austria, IT Department Faculty & Technical Adviser of Ms. Mengvi P. Gatpandan, JRU SOCI Director, Ms. Myrna Nidea, and Kevin Padilla, BSIT developer. Representatives from Pateros Catholic School include Mr. Jeson C. Sarmiento, Student Services Head, Mr. Joseph Conrado S. Jacer, MIS Officer, and Ms. Luz Ison, Registrar.

The ceremony was welcomed by Mr. Jeson C. Sarmiento, Student Services Head of Pateros Catholic School. This was then followed by a message from CSE Dean Austria. The turn over of the MIS was initiated by Kevin Padilla. A message was also delivered by Mr. Joseph Jacer, the MIS Director of the school.

The other MIS developed by Charlie Mae Monzales is set to be turned over on August 2, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe College in Addition Hills, Mandaluyong CityIndeed, this is a level up for the IT Department and for the BSIT students of Jose Rizal University.

Animo Rizal!
